How to know if you are washing your clothes wrong?

Beyond separating the light from the dark, there is an art to get the clothes really clean, and you may unintentionally wash your clothes. That's why we ask laundry experts to give us some secrets.

1. White jeans:
White jeans that are cotton presents a challenge because they cannot be washed with that remover. The use of chlorine bleach on white jeans will lead to yellowing - exactly the opposite of what you want. Instead, use color proof bleach.

2. Swimsuits:
Throwing your suit in the wash, even in a mesh bag, even in the soft cycle is a mistake. Forget the washing machine and detergent, and simply rinse your suit with water after each swim in the pool. If a smell of saltwater or chlorine still persists, soak it in water mixed with a teaspoon of vinegar. And to avoid chlorine or saltwater damage first, wet your suit with regular water before taking a dip in the pool or the ocean.

3. Dark clothes:
To protect your dark clothes from fading, you know to wash them from the inside out, in cold water but you need to skip the dryer, says New York Laundry service. The heat is much more damaging to dark-colored clothing. Air drying is the secret to keeping clothes looking like new.

4. Your children's clothes:
They go into the dirty washing machine and they look totally clean when you put them in the dryer, so how is it possible that when you take them out, you find them ruined by a constellation of dark and stained spots that appeared out of nowhere? Those spots are actually oil stains - the remains of last Friday's pizza dinner.

5. Coats and quilts:
The secret to washing items correctly: an extra rinse cycle. The residual detergent in the feathers can reduce the ability to go down to be fluffy and trap the air, which is how the heat is held, says New York Laundry service

Part of the problem is that when you wash a coat or comforter, the bottom gets wet and lumpy and the weight is not distributed evenly, making it difficult for your machine to rinse and spin effectively.
We recommend taking your items down to the laundry and washing them in a large capacity washer. Then, dry the items completely with a clean tennis ball.

We are sure, after these tips offered by New York Laundry service, now you are aware of the mistakes you have been making so far while washing clothes.
