In the modern world, we are subjected daily to a large number of
external stimuli, not always positive which cause our physical and mental
states to be altered frequently. It is what we commonly call tension. Surf hostel Sri Lanka has the power to
relieve this tension with their unique techniques of Yoga Sri Lanka.
This tension is reflected in the body in the form of muscular
contractures and in the mind in the form of emotional blocks. The discipline of
yoga, in general, and relaxation techniques, in particular, are a fundamental
instrument to help us recover a balanced physical and mental state. And with
this object, Yoga Midigama is designed.
What is
relaxation and how to practice it?
We can understand relaxation as a process of self-observation. It is a process
of physical and mental quietude where consciously, we will take the attention
to the interior, abstracting ourselves from an external stimulus.
Although there are different Yoga asanas and different moments for
relaxation within yogic practices, if we speak purely of relaxation, we
understand it as a practice to be performed normally in Savasana or posture of
the corpse. Lying on their backs, with legs stretched and ajar to the width of
hips and arms along the body, slightly separated from it. From this position,
it is easy to enter into that necessary state of stillness, of surrender and of
conscious attention.
In yoga, there are various relaxation techniques. Most of them begin
with a tour of the body, from its lower part (feet and legs) to its upper part
(hands, arms, head), going through each and every part of the body. Some
techniques use specific words or phrases. Others use visualizations which is
directed visions where the mind creates a scenario as real as possible to
recreate in it and achieve relaxation of this mode and others use the physical
body, releasing and relaxing each part of the body to be aware of the
sensations of tension and subsequent relaxation.
In the practice of relaxation,
breathing plays a fundamental role. We must maintain a slow and calm breathing,
long, smooth, without forcing either inspiration or expiration. When breathing
is slow and adequate, the heart rate decreases and the organism slows down. As
we relax, we also relax our breathing, to the point of scarcely being aware of
it.
This process of relaxing the body serves as a prelude to the process of
relaxing the mind. For this, we must take the attention to the interior,
focusing on the internal sensations that are produced as a result of relaxing
the body. Bring, little by little, the attention to the present moment without
mental distractions, getting that quiet body and mind sought.
Surf
and yoga Sri Lanka is
the relaxation process and an easy process once you learn its technique.
The body is reluctant to release accumulated tensions and the mind tends to be
distracted very easily, however, as we improve the practice of relaxation, we
will be more aware of physical, mental states and emotional in which we are and
we will know how to improve them when we need it.
